Pentra-Sil H uses Nano-Lithium technology to permanently harden and dustproof concrete from within. Unlike topical sealers that sit on the surface and eventually wear away, this penetrating lithium silicate densifier soaks up to ¼ inch into the concrete where it triggers a chemical reaction with free calcium hydroxide (a natural byproduct of cement hydration). The result is the formation of calcium silicate hydrate (CSH), the same compound that gives concrete its strength.
This reaction fills the microscopic pores and capillaries in the concrete surface, creating a denser, harder floor that resists abrasion, staining, and dusting. Because the treatment becomes part of the concrete itself, there’s no film or coating to peel, flake, or delaminate under heavy forklift traffic or equipment loads.
What makes Pentra-Sil H different from conventional densifiers:
The Nano-Lithium formula features smaller particle sizes than traditional sodium or potassium silicate hardeners, allowing for deeper penetration and faster reaction times. It dries quickly without leaving the white salt residue that older silicate technologies often produce. The single-coat, no-rinse application eliminates the scrubbing and flushing steps required by many competing products, cutting labor time significantly on large pours.
For tilt-up contractors, Pentra-Sil H offers a specific advantage: bond-breakers and curing compounds can be applied directly over treated surfaces, and those curing compounds release more easily when it’s time to tilt the panels. The treatment also reduces efflorescence and surface sweating, which means fewer aesthetic issues and callbacks down the line.
The product is VOC compliant, water-based, and environmentally safe. It won’t contribute to alkali-silica reaction (ASR) or surface crazing, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications where long-term durability matters.
