Here’s how it works: as you clean, the lithium silicate compounds in Pentra-Clean CR penetrate the concrete surface and chemically react with free calcium hydroxide in the slab. This reaction produces calcium silicate hydrate, the same compound that gives concrete its strength. The result is a denser, harder surface that resists abrasion, reduces dusting, and maintains its sheen longer than floors cleaned with conventional products.
This means your polished concrete floors actually improve with regular cleaning rather than gradually wearing down. The densifying action fills microscopic pores in the surface, making the floor more resistant to staining, scuffing, and water spotting. Over time, you’ll notice longer intervals between burnishing cycles, less frequent need for deep restoration, and lower overall maintenance costs.
Pentra-Clean CR is designed for use with automatic floor scrubbers equipped with soft pads or brushes. For daily maintenance, simply scrub and vacuum as normal. For periodic deep cleaning, apply the solution, let it dwell for 15 to 20 minutes, then scrub again and extract. The concentrated formula mixes at 4 oz per 15 gallons of water, making it economical for large facilities while delivering professional-grade results.
Unlike pH-neutral daily cleaners that only address surface dirt, Pentra-Clean CR’s alkaline formulation (pH 11) is specifically engineered to activate the lithium silicate chemistry.
